We are trying to make a little more room in Alanna's room by adding Bunk Beds. Our hope is we can use the top for some space for her stuffed animals and activities and also to give her some space of her own.
We were able to find a really nice set off Craigs List that included the top mattress. After an entire afternoon of fixing springs (they got damaged when the people were taking them apart) we were able to get them put together in about 30 min!! Alanna came home from a birthday party and loved them she was very super excited. As many of you may or may not know, Alanna has shared our bed for many years. The agreement was that if she got bunk beds she had to sleep in them from now on. Well last night after some tears about being scared and alone she finally fell asleep. Mom snuck out of the room and resisted the urge to go check on her all night,Alanna woke up at 7am this morning telling us she will sleep only in her bunk beds from now on. She has pretty much spent the entire day in there. She looooves them!!
We have an extremely busy week next week Alanna has a school play on Thursday and our friends Mandi and Troy are getting Married and both Alanna and Crystal are in the wedding. Check back next week for exciting pictures and stories. We are sure we will have both as Alanna has a speaking part in her play.
