As many of you may know we are expecting an addition to our family. Alanna is going to be a big sister come late August. As of right now we do not know the gender of the baby, so , Alanna has affectionately nicknamed the baby Small Fry. This was after a discussion in the car while eating French fries from MC Donald's. Alanna wanted to know how big the baby was that day and started comparing sizes to fries. I said the baby is about the size of a "small fry" hence she decided the baby was going to be called Small Fry.

1st grade is going great for Alanna. We had parent teacher conferences a couple weeks ago and found out that Alanna is reading beyond a 2nd grade level. She gets 100% on her spelling test and is into drawing as much as ever. She loves to draw animals. This year she has been working on making a book with her animal pictures. As she completes them we take them to our friend Amy Wettstein and she laminates them so they don't get ruined. So far she has drawn about 25 different animals. The amazing thing is you can completely tell what they are. I can't even come close to making them as well as she does. I will try and post some of them so others can enjoy them as much as we do. As you might be able to tell Alanna's favorite animal is the Giraffe. She has a pretty good collection started from stuffed animals to figures, she has a clock and even a tooth brush holder. This last summer she was able to pet and feed one! She still claims it was the greatest day of her life. Well thats all we have for now.
